Hotline Advocates: Daytime or Overnight

We need daytime advocates in our office Monday - Friday to take either a shift from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm or 1:00 to 5:00 pm. We also need overnight advocates who carry a pager to respond to hotline calls during non-office hours (evenings and weekends).

Using active listening and crisis intervention skills, advocates provide emotional support and informational resources (legal, medical, mental health and shelter options) to victims of domestic violence, their friends and family members.

In addition, daytime advocates meet with walk-in clients to provide counseling or assistance i.e. helping a client complete a domestic violence protection order.
